Create Wellbeing Studio : ARTISTS’ OPEN CALL - TREES

This is an opportunity for artists in the Scottish Borders and surrounding areas to be exhibited and sell their works within Create Wellbeing Studio CIC in Peebles.
This is an open call for artists to submit an art work and a short text inspired by ‘Trees’. Trees are so important to our local landscape in the Scottish Borders and to the world at large especially in our age of climate breakdown. All images that explore trees are welcomed.
ARTWORK
We invite artists to create an image inspired by ‘Trees’ . The original artwork can be in any 2D medium, paper or canvas based and able to be hung on the wall (no sculptures). We ask that the artwork is sent to us as a jpeg digital file in the first instance.
EXHIBITING
The selected artworks will be exhibited from the start of October 2024 for a period of two months. There will be an opening with a private view for exhibiting artists at the start of October. Create Wellbeing CIC aims to support local artists and therefore takes a low gallery fee of 10%. We ask that all exhibitors have appropriate insurance for their artwork, all associated risk is taken by the artist.
HOW TO ENTER
Please include in your entry:-
1 - Your full name
2 - A good quality jpeg image of your artwork inspired by ‘Trees’
3 - The title of your artwork
4 - The dimensions of your artwork in cms (when framed if a frame is needed)
5 - The medium of your artwork
6 - The price of your artwork

The format of your artwork must be sent as a jpeg file attachment,
We invite you to share your artwork to Instagram using the hashtag #scottishborderstrees and be sure to tag us @kristina_createwellbeing in the photo for a potential repost on our Instagram account. Please note you must still submit your artwork via email.
